On 5-9 August about 50 teachers of Melitopol, Terpeniye, Voznesenovka, Preazoviye, Novovasylivka and Krasnodon were the participants of the teacher’s summer school in the camp "Severyanin” (Kirillovka).

The opportunity was given to them by the grant won by Cynden Amrose the Peace Corp Volunteer, the organizer of the project who has been working at Melitopol Gymnasium 5. The sponsor of this project is the USA Embassy. Nine Peace Corps volunteers and teacher and the instructor (teacher –trainer) from University of Nebraska- Linkoln Crystal Bock Theissen worked hard for five days to improve teacher’s methodology and to give Productive skills lessons, Receptive skills lessons, Elective lessons and organized free time activities for the participants.

The teachers were involved in the interactive lessons on different subjects such as

·         Constructive Criticism at the lessons

·         Bloom’s Taxonomy in teaching

·         The communicative Approach to teaching

·         Poetry in the classroom

·         Art at the lessons

·         Your students and YouTube

·         Music in the classroom

·         Language Learning with video and photography

·         Gender roles in society and many others;

The teachers spent 5 days improving their skills and learning from each other and the volunteers in a comfortable environment. Everyone involved was grateful for the opportunity to be part of this unique learning experience.
